The ocean tells us about the state of our planet - today and in the future. The EU has now decided to allocate more funds to improve coordination and data collection. The so-called Ocean Eye initiative, with an initial budget of €50 million, aims both to safeguard Europe’s independence and to invite international partners to participate in the vital work of gathering observations above and below the surface.
