Marika Griehsel

Marika is an award-winning journalist, correspondent and documentary filmmaker with extensive experience in international reporting.

She began her career as a reporter for Swedish public service broadcasting and quickly became one of Sweden’s most prominent foreign correspondents, particularly known for her work in Africa.

During her years as a foreign correspondent for SVT, she reported on wars, crises and social changes in South Africa, Namibia, Angola, Rwanda, Ethiopia and Congo-Kinshasa, among other places. Her journalism is characterised by a deep commitment to human rights, justice and highlighting voices that are otherwise rarely heard in the international news flow.
