Several Dead Seals on Swedish Beaches
An unusually large number of dead seals have been found on the beaches of Simrishamn in Skåne in Sweden, according to local media reports. On Monday morning, the municipality worked to remove the carcasses.

There haven’t been that many at once during my time as manager, says Linda Larsson, head of public environments at Simrishamn municipality, to Ystads Allehanda.
She also tells the newspaper that the municipality usually sends dead seals away for analysis to determine the cause of death. At least one of the seals found recently was entangled in fishing nets.
