Det g\u00f6r dem extra r\u00f6rliga och \u00e4r sannolikt orsaken till att de \u00e4r topp-predatorer i havet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Men enligt studien medf\u00f6r den h\u00f6gre kroppstemperaturen s\u00e5rbarhet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mesotermer kan beh\u00e5lla metabolisk (egen genererad) v\u00e4rme och h\u00e5lla delar av sin kropp varmare \u00e4n det omgivande vattnet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det inneb\u00e4r att de alstrar v\u00e4rme snabbare \u00e4n de kan avge den och f\u00f6redrar d\u00e4rf\u00f6r att leva i kalla vattenstr\u00e5k och p\u00e5 havsdjupen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Men n\u00e4r havsvattnet p\u00e5 grund av klimatf\u00f6r\u00e4ndringar blir varmare blir \u00e4ven dessa fiskar varmare. De tvingas flytta till l\u00e4mpligare livsmilj\u00f6er som polerna, b\u00e5de i jakten p\u00e5 f\u00f6da och f\u00f6r sitt v\u00e4lm\u00e5ende.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-undersokt-energifloden-i-detalj\"><strong>Unders\u00f6kt energifl\u00f6den<\/strong> i detalj<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I studien har forskare f\u00f6r f\u00f6rsta g\u00e5ngen i detalj, unders\u00f6kt hur de allra minsta varelserna som larver i havet, till de stora fiskarna energifl\u00f6dena fungerar, i snabbt uppv\u00e4rmda havsmilj\u00f6er.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.science.org\/doi\/10.1126\/science.adt2981\">Resultaten har bland annat publicerats i vetenskapsmagasinet Sciene<\/a>, d\u00e4r den internationella forskargruppen beskriver de sl\u00e5ende resultaten. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Till exempel kan en 1 ton tung varmblodig haj ha sv\u00e5rt att uppr\u00e4tth\u00e5lla v\u00e4rmebalansen i vatten \u00f6ver cirka 17 \u00b0C, ber\u00e4ttar Edward Snelling fr\u00e5n University of Pretoria i Sydafrika i artikeln i Science. \u00d6ver s\u00e5dana tr\u00f6skelv\u00e4rden m\u00e5ste fiskar sakta ner, \u00e4ndra blodfl\u00f6det eller dyka till svalare djup f\u00f6r att undvika farlig uppv\u00e4rmning. Men det har ocks\u00e5 ett pris. Det kan till exempel bli sv\u00e5rare att hitta mat eller f\u00e5nga den, s\u00e4rskilt om ditt fr\u00e4msta vapen \u00e4r hastighet och kraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Forskarna utvecklade en metod f\u00f6r att uppskatta den rutinm\u00e4ssiga \u00e4mnesoms\u00e4ttningen hos larver och fiskar genom att analysera v\u00e4rmeutbytet hos m\u00e4rkta individer och kombinera resultaten med publicerade andningsdata f\u00f6r arten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Med hj\u00e4lp av detta ramverk utv\u00e4rderade f\u00f6rfattarna sedan hur kroppsstorlek, omgivningstemperatur och v\u00e4rmebevarande fysiologiska anpassningar p\u00e5verkar energibehovet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Resultaten visar att mesoterma fiskar kr\u00e4ver n\u00e4stan fyra g\u00e5nger mer energi \u00e4n sina kallblodiga motsvarigheter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dessutom avsl\u00f6jade analysen en skalnings-obalans mellan v\u00e4rmeproduktion och v\u00e4rmef\u00f6rlust, d\u00e4r v\u00e4rmeproduktionshastigheten \u00f6kar snabbare \u00e4n v\u00e4rmef\u00f6rlusten n\u00e4r fiskarterna blir st\u00f6rre, vilket inneb\u00e4r att st\u00f6rre mesoterma fiskar blir alltmer varmblodiga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De allra flesta fiskar \u00e4r kallblodiga som inte kan reglera sin egen kroppstemperatur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Efter att ha tagit h\u00e4nsyn till kroppsstorlek och temperatur fann vi att mesoterma fiskar anv\u00e4nder ungef\u00e4r 3,8 g\u00e5nger mer energi \u00e4n kallblodiga fiskar av liknande storlek, f\u00f6rklarar seniorf\u00f6rfattaren Andrew Jackson, fr\u00e5n Trinity College i Irland i artikeln i Science.
